This is a great condition George Low Bristol Wizard 600 Putter. This putter was made by the Hansberger Brothers in 1960. It is all original, and I have a letter of authenticity from the original maker Gary Hansberger (See Pics).
If you are unfamiliar with this putter, here is a little background:
Jack Nicklaus used this putter model to win 15/18 majors and 78/100 titles. This putter was designed by George Low, a Scottish professional golfer, who came to America to teach golf, and his signature on the toe is what makes this putter so rare. This putter model was also used by Dean Martin, Bob Hope, Sammy Davis Jr., and Bing Crosby.

This is what National Golf News had to say about the Hansberger Brothers and this putter:
"During this time the brothers contracted with George Low to manufacture the fine-line Wizard putters under both the Sportsman and Bristol brands. The George Low autograph Wizard 600 is considered the most valuable collector golf club, carrying a $25,000-plus price tag. Jack Nicklaus used this putter during the most productive 20-year period of his career."

Here is my best explanation of the exact club condition:
1.) The face and the sole are in excellent condition. No imperfections from what I can tell.
2.) The top of the club is in good condition. It shows very minor bag wear. As seen from the picture the top ridge of the club shows a few imperfections. Also, in the flange of the club there are a tiny amount of very tiny rust spots. When I say tiny, you have to be looking at the club right in front of your face to see them. I am sure they can be taken off of the club, but I am not brave enough to try. I know that I have seen professional restoration shops remove this type of spots with ease, but like I said I am not brave enough to try.
3.) The shaft is in excellent condition. No imperfections from what I can tell. Even the original true temper steel shaft sticker is on the club. It shows some wear, but it is still intact and easily read.
4.) The grip is in good condition. The original GeoLow Wizard embossment on the grip is still there. About 35% of the letters are still there in their original gold. The other 65% is still there in the embossment of the leather. According to the original maker, this is the first part to go, and on this club you can still read the embossment with the naked eye. This is truly rare.

In conclusion, based on other wizards I have seen, and the following comments I have received from the original maker, Gary Hansberger, and one of George Low's good friend, Jody Baucom, I describe this club as great condition.

Forgive me because I did not record any of the conversations between Gary or Jody, but this is my best paraphrase.

Gary said something like, "This is a beauty!" "This is the best I have seen in a LONG TIME."

Jody said something like, "I saw two of these sell last year (2007) at a convention." I in turn asked, "How much did they go for?” He replied, "One went for $4000 and one went for $6500." I then asked, "Where does mine fall in relation to those in condition?" He then replied, "Somewhere in between."
